Fair Practice Code

Last updated: 1 January 2025  Β·  In alignment with RBI DSA Guidelines

Our Pledge: BharatFincred is committed to conducting all business with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and customer respect. This Fair Practice Code governs how we interact with customers, partners, and the public.

1. Our Identity and Role

BharatFincred is a Direct Selling Agent (DSA) β€” we are not a bank, NBFC, or financial institution. We do not accept deposits, lend money, or make credit decisions. Our role is limited to:

  • Collecting loan applications and connecting borrowers with lender partners
  • Providing indicative information about loan products via tools and calculators
  • Assisting customers through the loan application process
  • Earning referral fees from lenders upon successful loan disbursement

We clearly identify ourselves as a DSA in all our communications, website, and marketing materials.

2. Transparency Commitments

No Hidden Charges: Our service is completely free to borrowers. We never charge customers a fee for loan referrals, applications, or advisory. Our revenue comes from lenders only.
Honest Communication: We do not make promises or guarantees about loan approval, interest rates, or loan amounts. All information is clearly marked as indicative.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure: We work with multiple lenders. When we recommend a product, it is based on your profile β€” not higher commissions. We disclose our DSA relationships on request.
Clear Calculations: All calculator outputs include mandatory disclaimers stating that results are indicative. We show the formula used so customers can verify independently.
Privacy by Default: We do not share your data with any lender without your explicit written or digital consent obtained at the time of application.

3. Responsible Sales Conduct

All BharatFincred representatives (employees, agents, and DSA sub-agents) are required to:

  • Identify themselves by name and as BharatFincred representatives in all communications
  • Never misrepresent loan terms, interest rates, or eligibility criteria
  • Never use pressure, coercive, or manipulative tactics to push a loan product
  • Present multiple lender options where available, not just the highest-commission option
  • Advise customers not to take on more debt than their FOIR (Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio) allows
  • Never promise guaranteed approval β€” all approvals are at the lender's sole discretion
  • Maintain call and communication records for quality assurance and grievance purposes

4. Customer Rights We Uphold

Right to Information
Customers have the right to know all loan terms, fees, and our DSA relationship with lenders before applying.
Right to Privacy
Customer data is shared with lenders only after explicit consent. No data is sold to third parties.
Right to Refuse
Customers can withdraw their consent, stop communications, or cancel their application at any time without penalty.
Right to Redressal
Every complaint is acknowledged within 2 days and resolved within 30 days. See our Grievance Redressal Policy.
Right to Fair Treatment
No customer is discriminated against based on religion, caste, gender, age, or disability in our services.
Right to Financial Education
We provide free educational tools, calculators, and content to help customers make informed decisions.

5. Anti-Mis-Selling Policy

BharatFincred has a strict zero-tolerance policy on mis-selling. The following practices are expressly prohibited:

βœ— Misrepresenting the interest rate, tenure, or EMI of any loan product
βœ— Concealing prepayment, foreclosure, or processing fees from the customer
βœ— Claiming that a lender has pre-approved a loan without official confirmation
βœ— Encouraging customers to provide false information in loan applications
βœ— Bundling unrelated insurance or investment products without clear disclosure
βœ— Collecting any fee from the customer in exchange for loan facilitation
βœ— Making claims about guaranteed approval, fastest processing, or "special access" to lenders

If you believe any BharatFincred representative has engaged in mis-selling, please report it immediately to grievance@bharatfincred.com.

6. Partner Lender Standards

BharatFincred only partners with banks and NBFCs that are regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the National Housing Bank (NHB), or other applicable regulatory bodies. We perform due diligence before onboarding any lender and monitor compliance on an ongoing basis.

We do not work with unregistered moneylenders, illegal financiers, or any entity that engages in predatory lending practices.

7. DNCR and Communication Compliance

We respect the RBI's Do Not Call (DNC) Registry and TRAI's regulations. We do not contact numbers registered on the DNC registry for unsolicited marketing. All SMS and WhatsApp communications comply with TRAI guidelines and include an opt-out mechanism.

8. Review and Updates

This Fair Practice Code is reviewed annually by our management team and updated to reflect changes in RBI guidelines, applicable laws, and industry best practices. The latest version is always available on this page.
